40% Speculation, 40% Rebellion

40% of housing value is speculated land. Increased land prices seem to validate demolition and rebuilding more expensive housing. In this modern culture the only way to achieve real permanent stability is to own land. The only way to change this system and culture, is with a rebellion.

We initiate a soft rebellion and stop paying 40% of our rent. We propose redirecting that share to buy back the land collectively through a CLT. We govern this bought-back land, permanently beyond the market’s reach.

Underneath the re-acquired land lies the new anarchist territory: a contemporary, underground Allmend, unlocked over time.
